The “Joining Forces Conference Award” gives you $25,000 to convene cross-disciplinary conferences on timely, critical issues to breast cancer research.
Award Criteria:
- Relevance of the conference to breast cancer research
- Strength of outreach to ensure cross-disciplinary representation, especially from disciplines not now integrated in breast cancer research
- Potential of the approach to generate new ideas and facilitate collaboration
- Qualifications of applicants/conference organizers
- Diversity of scientific perspectives and activist/advocacy involvement
- Potential to advance breast cancer research
- Appropriateness of the budget for the scope of work
- Attentiveness to the needs of California
