LETTERS OF INTENT SCREENING COMMITTEES & STUDY SECTION
In this first Breast Cancer Research Program award cycle, investigators who wanted to apply for research funding were required, as a first step, to submit Letters of Intent (LOIs). LOIs were evaluated on specified criteria by peer review and those investigators whose LOIs passed the screening process were invited to submit full applications. Each screening committee was comprised of experts in the area of science or technology represented in the LOIs assigned to that committee, and one member of the Breast Cancer Research Council. The rosters of the eleven screening committees appear on the following pages.
