CBCRP Co-Sponsors a Conference on Cancer in the Gay and Lesbian Community
We know that lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex people are at greater risk for some cancers and less likely to access necessary and appropriate diagnostic and treatment resources. The CBCRP is co-sponsoring a unique and informative event with the Gay and Lesbian Medical Association that will put a personal face on cancer in the gay and lesbian community. During this two-day event, attendees will confront unique obstacles to care, look at the promising science emerging to prevent cancers, and discuss strategic steps to move forward in this fight. Everyone is invited to take part. Attendance is $50 for the Friday session (although no one will be turned away for lack of funds) and free for the Saturday session.
